This is a simple tool that will save you a lot of time.
In Word, Excel or PowerPoint you can pin files you frequently use to the File menu.
Once pinned a file remains listed in your Recent files list. You can access these files with a single click, saving your browsing through folders.
To pin a file (so it remains listed in your recently used files list):
1| First of all, open the file (in Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
2| Once you have the file open, select the File menu, then Open. The Open menu displays.
3| In the Recent list (where your file is displayed because you have just opened it), hold your mouse over the far right side of the file name. A pin displays.
4| Click on the pin to stick the file. The file will remain listed in the Recent list until you unpin it.
